How To Spice Up Your Broccoli With 6 New Meal Ideas!

It's time to shake up your meal routine with these creative and delicious meal ideas that use broccoli.

Broccoli on a green surface

It's broccoli season, so it is the best time to enjoy this wonderful green vegetable between now and October.

You don't need me waffling on about how nutritious broccoli is. It goes without saying. Interestingly, broccoli, a cruciferous vegetable, has a rich source of a compound known as glucosinolates. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, kale, cauliflower, cabbage and brussel sprouts have been shown to help reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and it's great for gut health. So that's a nice bonus.

We always eat broccoli at home - partly because it's a good veggie that my kiddos will eat! I keep a couple of frozen bags available when we run out of fresh stuff.

But in honesty, I usually don't get all that creative with it. 90% of the time, I'll steam it and add it on the side, maybe slip it in a pasta sauce. Let's change that right now! Because broccoli, you deserve more showiness!

I've added some ideas below, If you've got some too, pop them in the comments.

Tips for Buying and Storing Fresh Broccoli in Your Kitchen

If you have no time to cook fresh broccoli, you can buy it in the store's frozen section.
